Team walking challenges
Turn everyday steps into a challenge worth showing up for.
Create a walking challenge for your workplace, club, or friends in a few minutes. Participants sign up through your invite and walk with the Wasabi Walk app on iPhone or Android. Teams compete on steps, and you announce the winners at the end.
Free during the pilot, for a limited time
Organize from your browser. No app needed.

How it works
From first idea to announcing the winners
Six steps, and most of them take care of themselves.
- You
Create your challenge
Anyone can be an organizer. Sign up with just your email, then set the dates and teams in your browser.
- You
Invite participants
You get an event code and a printable QR poster. Share it by email, in chat, or on the office wall.
- Automatic
Teams are formed
People scan the QR code and register on the web. When the event starts, everyone is split into teams automatically, unless you choose to build the teams yourself.
- Participants
Walk
After registering, each participant gets a personal code that links the Wasabi Walk app on iPhone or Android. Steps then sync from Apple Health or Health Connect on their own.
- Participants
Follow the leaderboard
Everyone watches the team standings change in the app each day and cheers their teammates on.
- You
Announce the winners
When the event ends, open the results show and reveal the winning team to everyone.
For organizers
Run the whole event from your browser
Your settings, your participants, and how the event is going all live in the organizer portal. There is nothing to install.
Set it up your way
Pick the dates, the team size, and how teams are formed: at random, balanced across offices or locations, or built by you. Add your own registration questions.
See who has joined
Browse every participant and team, find anyone by name, and when a team has a virtual teammate, invite a real person to take its place.
Keep an eye on progress
Check whose steps are syncing, see the standings, and follow the race day by day while the event runs.
For participants
Easy for everyone who joins
Participants use the Wasabi Walk app on iPhone or Android. Once they have joined, there is nothing to log by hand.
Fair teams, formed for you
Teams are formed automatically when the event starts, balanced across offices or locations if you choose. You can also build them yourself.
Steps sync on their own
The app reads steps from Apple Health or Health Connect, the health data their phone already records, and syncs every day.
A leaderboard that climbs
Team standings update as steps roll in, so there is always a reason to take the stairs or go one more lap.
Encouragement built in
Cheers and hearts let teammates celebrate each other, so the competition stays friendly.
Results and winners
Crown the winners in front of everyone
The results show runs in your browser. Open it during the event to see how the leading teams are racing. When it ends, put it on the big screen: the steps everyone walked together, the awards, and a podium that reveals the winning team.
